Stassi Schroeder Reacts To Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s ‘Cousin’ Connection

Stassi Schroeder Reacts To Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s ‘Cousin’ Connection

The one thing about Stassi Schroeder is that she loves all things horror, murder, psychic, afterlife, and more. She goes all out for Halloween and even had a horror-themed birthday party in Season 6 of Pump Rules. When she went out on a blind date, she claimed the guy was not “murdery” enough for her. So, when Stassi learned that she and Gypsy Rose Blanchard were related, it was like a holiday alone. How did this revelation come out, to begin with? According to Us Weekly, it has to do with the fact that they are both from Louisiana. Prior to moving to California for college and to try her hand at the big time, Stassi was a Southern belle.

She even took the cast back to New Orleans for Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz’s bachelor/bachelorette party. In any case, My Family Genie or Dr. Adina Newman, took it upon themselves to research the family tree of Gypsy’s mother’s side.

“Who spent the whole day researching Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s family tree? 🙋‍♀️. More specifically, I focused on her maternal side. And let me tell you, Cajuns and Acadians basically everywhere! If you know anything about Cajuns and Acadians, they are endogamous, a small founder population and keeping it within the family for generations.”

Apparently, some Acadia names were found on Stassi’s paternal grandma’s side. Therefore, the two ladies are related in a variety of different ways. More specifically, they are “at minimum 11th cousins, Stassi is 10th cousins once removed with [Gypsy Rose’s mother] Dee Dee.” So, yes, Stassi Schroeder and Gypsy Rose are cousins and how did Stassi react? “Omg I’m unwell 😂😂😂💀💀💀🪦🪦🪦.” For the mother of two, this could mean absolutely anything. 

A Story Perfect For Stassi

The Gypsy Rose Blanchard story has everything that Stassi Schroeder would be invested in. Her mother, Dee Dee, had Munchausen by proxy. Therefore, she convinced Gypsy and all those around her that her daughter was seriously ill. She made her stay wheelchair-bound, use a feeding tube, and so much more. Finally, Gypsy could not take it so she recruited her boyfriend to stab and kill Dee Dee. They were caught and Gypsy was sentenced to ten years. She got out after eighty-five percent and can now live her life. Her story will be told in a six-part Lifetime series, starting Friday, January 5th.
