Counting On alum Jana Duggar resurfaced on social media amid her long hiatus. She appeared during the Duggar family’s Christmas party. However, the 33-year-old caught the attention of many with her new look. Some even think that she looks totally different after her long absence. Keep reading to see Jana’s unrecognizable photo.
Counting On: Jana Duggar’s Online Absence
It’s been two years since Jana last posted on her IG page. The reason behind her sudden absence is unclear. But some believe that it’s due to the controversies the Duggar family faced following Josh’s CSAM arrest. There are also speculations that it affected the Counting On alum’s rumored courtship with a pilot named Stephen Wissmann. Several photos of them looking so close together surfaced online. She even celebrated Christmas in 2020 with the Wissmann family. But things suddenly went silent between the two.
Jana Looking Unrecognizable In New Picture
Some Redditors reacted to Jana’s recent appearance at the Duggar family’s Christmas party. Jason uploaded a photo with his friend and his sister. However, what caught the attention of many was Jana’s unrecognizable look. According to the Redditors, something changed with the Counting On alum, especially when it comes to her facial features and hair. Here are some of the comments she received.

- “Gotta give credit to Jana where it’s due, she is 34 I think, and looks no older than 22 here. Especially with more modern, trendy clothes and hair.”
Some couldn’t help but notice Jana Duggar’s ripped jeans, which are strictly against the Duggar family’s dress codes. But it seems pants are starting to become a normal thing at the Duggar compound, considering the number of daughters who have worn them at family gatherings.
Counting On: Jana Duggar Continues To Break Family Rules
Aside from the Christmas party, Jana has also been spotted multiple times breaking the family’s dress codes last year. At one point, the Counting On alum was spotted in a beautiful black dress that didn’t hit below the knee while shopping at a local store. She regularly wears pants during her get-together with some of the Duggar kids as well. One of which was during their all-girls gathering in April 2023.
Michelle Duggar herself has also defied the family’s dress codes. It was also reported that many Duggar kids are starting to shy away from the IBLP’s core values following the release of Shiny Happy People. Meanwhile, Jim Bob continues to remain out of sight despite all the big events in the family, even during their Christmas party.
