Jax Taylor Lied About Wife’s Stroke, Never Happened
In a twist, not unheard of for Jax Taylor, he lied about his wife, Brittany Cartwright’s stroke. She has now spoken up in further detail about that fated day. As it turns out, it never happened. So, what did transpire? Read on for more details.
Jax Taylor Lied About Wife’s Stroke, Never Happened
For fans of Vanderpump Rules, it is known that Jax Taylor has a history of lying. He lied to Stassi Schroeder about cheating on her in Season 1 which alienated her friends. The same thing happened in Season 2 when he was intimate with Kristen Doute while she was dating his best friend, Tom Sandoval. In Season 6, he cheated on his then-girlfriend, Brittany Cartwright with Faith Stowers but denied it. Plus, he claimed he had breast cancer when he just had too many protein shakes. There is nothing to be trusted about him so he was perfect on House of Villains.
When he was the first person voted off of House of Villains, he claimed that he got a scary phone call about his wife, Brittany. According to Bravo, this is what he shared with his co-stars from the E! show:
“I’m panicking … So I raced to Cedars, stayed there for two nights, making sure that my wife doesn’t have cancer, doesn’t have spinal issues, doesn’t have MS. Turns out, she had a small stroke. She’s 33.”
As it turns out, this panic that he instilled in Brittany’s fans was false. She never had a stroke though the mother of one did experience paralyzation on one side of her body. So, what actually happened to the Jenny Craig spokesperson? She spoke out on the couple’s podcast, When Reality Hits and she called Jax out for saying she had a stroke.

He admitted that he heard “stroke-like symptoms” and just thought it was a stroke. Brittany clarified that he went on to say it was a stroke and that her whole right side went numb. Furthermore, she could not even hold her phone and she fell, bruising her whole side. Her friend came over to aid her and the doctors ran a bunch of tests, ruling out a stroke.
Fans Not Shocked
After Brittany Cartwright cleared it all up, fans had a lot to say about Jax Taylor. Mostly, they were not surprised at all that he had lied or fabricated the story:
- Jax being dramatic to get attention. Same ol same ol
- Jax exaggerated/lied/embellished again?? Gee, I’m so surprised.
- Reminds me of when “he had cancer”😂
The fans also reminded Brittany that it was not the media perpetuating the stroke story as it was Jax who started it. They also were happy she was better and felt she was too good for him.
