‘RHOC’ Shannon Beador Reveals What Transpired Before DUI
RHOC star Shannon Beador is breaking down what exactly transpired prior to her DUI arrest. A lot has been alleged and speculated but now, in her own words, she is sharing the details of the night. So, what led her to drink and drive? Read on for more details.
RHOC Shannon Beador Reveals What Transpired Before DUI
Back on September 17th, 2023, Shannon Beador was involved in a hit-and-run which resulted in a DUI arrest after she fled the scene. Fortunately, the RHOC star did not hurt anyone but her dog, Archie was in the car with her. The big question was where she was coming from and why her dog was even with her. She kept a low profile with friends and co-stars checking in on her. There was even word that she may have gone to stay with Vicki Gunvalson as her home was gated. Additionally, some co-stars hoped that this was the wake-up call Beador really needed.
Now, after Shannon has been handed down her sentence and committed to her sobriety, she is opening up as to what went down that specific night. According to The Mirror, the mother of three was on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast. There, she explained to Alex Baskin that an Uber was involved, as she is a huge fan of the driving service. So much so, her bill is insane but that evening, things took a terrible turn.
“That night I had an early dinner and I was having fun meeting people in this new neighborhood I was staying in, and I took an Uber home. I left my phone in the car, and I stupidly got in the car and drove to John’s because I needed help to get my phone back, and it was three blocks away.”
John is her ex-boyfriend, John Janssen who is now in a relationship with RHOC alum, Alexis Bellino. They ended up having a fight with him asking her to exit. Despite Shannon Beador being livid, she chose to drive the few blocks back to her home. This is when everything turned sour.
Looking At Life
Shannon Beador has come to realize that she uses alcohol as a crutch more often than she should. This is clearly not healthy so she did an intensive outpatient program five days a week. She had to understand why she was making such “toxic” and “unhealthy choices.” Admittedly, she was not happy during Season 17 and it was evident but now, she has a new lens to look through. Hopefully, she can take what she has learned and move forward in a more positive direction.
