1000-Lb. Sisters fans have fallen in love with older sister, Amanda Halterman. She is funny, witty, and sassy but won’t back down when she needs to. So, what is there to know about Tammy and Amy Slaton’s sister, Amanda? Read on to get to know more about the TLC cast member.
1000-Lb. Sisters Get To Know Amanda Halterman
Amy Slaton and Tammy Slaton have been the main stars of 1000-Lb. Sisters. Fans have watched their weight loss journey and how far both of them have come. Last season, Tammy lost enough weight so that she could undergo weight loss surgery. She also fell in love with Caleb Willingham and got married. As for Amy, she welcomed her second son and tried to manage her family and her weight. Then there were their siblings, Chris Combs, Misty, and Amanda Halterman. Chris gave tough love but was a big teddy bear at heart.
Misty and Amanda were an amazing tag team and kept fans laughing with their antics. Yet, what else is there to know about Amanda, especially the fact that she and Amy have the same married name? According to Distractify, Amanda was actually previously married to Amy’s ex-husband, Michael Halterman’s brother. So, they wed and divorced brothers but Amanda was with her hubby for twenty-two years. She did not come around the show until Season 3 as they gradually integrated Tammy and Amy’s family. It started with Chris and his wife, Brittany. Then, Amanda was welcomed on and became a hit.
This is how Amy Slaton talks about Amanda Halterman: “My sister Amanda has no filter. Sometimes she is a little bit rough.” She is a mother but what does she do for work aside from appearing alongside her siblings on the hit reality show? Halterman is a bus driver plus she does Cameos for $45. However, if you want a business video, that is $250. It did seem like she was pushing for more money for appearing on 1000-Lb. Sisters but no news on that front.
Trouble In Paradise
Yes, she has fought with her sisters and that has caused a lot of tension but Amanda Halterman seems to want to take care of those around her. It will be interesting to see what happens with her this current season of 1000-Lb. Sisters, especially as Tammy Slaton deals with the death of Caleb. Additionally, Amy Slaton decides she wants a divorce so Amanda will have to be there for her and her children through that. The family dynamic is shifting and who is there for support will truly determine the outcome of the season.
