Hallmark is headed back to Scotland for the New Year New Movie romance A Scottish Love Scheme. What is it about? According to the synopsis, Lily and her mom Cait are returning to Scotland. The mother and daughter go back every year. They go there because this is where Cait grew up.
However, this year they are going earlier than normal. Lily believes that this is “her mother’s way of taking her mind off recent love woes.” Therefore, they packed their bags and headed out. When they arrive in Scotland, Cait is reunited with Mairi, her childhood best friend. This is not the only reunion. Lily and Logan, Mairi’s son, also are reunited. The two have known each other since they were young.
Meanwhile, Cait and Mairi see how well their children get along. Cait does not remember the last time that Lily laughed and smiled so much. Subsequently, the two old friends decide to interfere and play matchmakers.
This clever scheme is working. The more that Lily and Logan hang out, the more sparks fly. They are in sync and soon act like a couple. This romance is blooming. But, Lily’s budding romance soon takes a back burner. It all started when Cait began to feel faint. Lily then learns that her mother has cancer. But, she didn’t want to let her daughter know until after the trip.
