Janelle Brown, Sister Wives: Look Back TLC

In a sneak peek of Sunday’s Sister Wives Look Back: How It Started, Meri, Janelle, Christine, Robyn, and Kody participate in reviewing segments of past footage. Each of the five stars sits and watches the clip then gives their recollection of the encounter. But Janelle identifies a particularly egregious act that Kody did in the past.

Sister Wives Upcoming Specials

With the end of Sister Wives Season 18 came the One-on-One Tell-All episodes which revealed some hidden secrets. But now fans can look forward to several other Sister Wives features: Look Back, Talk Back, and the Wedding Special.

Sister Wives Look Back: How It Started

In the first part of Look Back, TLC has released a teaser that shows the infamous “wedding dress” debacle before Robyn and Kody’s marriage. During the clip Meri, Janelle, Christine, Robyn, and Kody are reviewing the past footage. Notably, Kody bubbles over with giddiness at having the opportunity to “pick” Robyn’s wedding dress. Admittedly, the other three wives did not seem impressed. After which, each tells about their perspective of the moment.

Christine Brown Relives The ‘Hard Day’

As Christine revisits Kody saying, “Robyn and I went and looked at dresses and she picked one out and I was like, ‘Holy cow.’ It’s like I’d seen it in my dreams, you know?” she can’t help but roll her eyes and scoff. But she notes that Kody hadn’t cared about any of the other wives’ dresses. Additionally, she speaks to it being a very “not cool” action on his part and disrespectful to his other wives. And Meri Brown adds, “Kinda a slap in the face.”

Janelle reflects calmly, “I wasn’t even really emotionally involved with any of the dresses, but it’s just weird. And then all of a sudden, it was this thing we had all done together — like the women — and then here’s Kody saying, ‘Oh well, it wasn’t really for real.’ It took me back. It was really quite funny ’cause [Kody was] so excited.” But the other wives chimed in and said it wasn’t funny to them. Bluntly, Christine says about Kody, “It wasn’t funny, you looked like an idiot.”

Robyn Brown Didn’t Like Kody’s Overshare

Then Robyn shared in the Sister Wives playback, “It wasn’t funny to me either. It was actually something that I had to ask him, you know, not to share with anybody for the sake of sort of protecting both experiences.” Robyn was hurt by the break in privacy and said, “I didn’t feel it was necessary for you guys to know that.”

Kody relives the time saying it was a hard day. Then explains his perspective, “Meri made her dress. Janelle didn’t wear a wedding dress for our wedding. And Christine was just throwing together a wedding and I was living a long way away from her with a family.” He adds, “My involvement in seeing a dress that was going to work for Robyn incited some kind of jealousy in Christine that was irrational.”

Sister Wives – Beginning Of The End

While Robyn said it was ultimately her choice, Kody says he knew what he wanted her to wear from the beginning. Additionally, he expresses his desire to be along in the dress shopping with the wives. Although he acknowledges in the Sister Wives special that Christine is upset he confronts it saying, “The problem with the whole experience that I had with Christine was I didn’t really want to be married to her.” Janelle directly states,“It was a d*ck move on Kody’s part.” Then she adds, “But maybe that was the beginning of some shows of favoritism. I have no idea.”
