The holiday season is meant for romance. Can a young matchmaker find the perfect date for her single mom? What is Lifetime’s Mom’s Christmas Boyfriend all about? According to The Futon Critic, Lily Morgan is a sweet 10-year-old girl who was adopted as a child from China.

This year, there is a Christmas wish-writing contest and Lily knows exactly what she wants to wish for. She wants her mom Emma to have a boyfriend. Mostly, that would also mean that Lily would have a father figure to do things with.

Subsequently, Lily’s letter is fantastic and she is chosen. Immediately, Emma balks at this. However, when she discovers that $100,000 will be given to a charity if she goes along with this wish, she is all in. Coincidentally, Emma has the right place that needs this big cash prize.

Soon, Emma starts to date a couple of guys. One is super nice. Also, he always makes big romantic gestures. Yet, Lily finds it very off-putting that he is more into taking photos for social media. Furthermore, Lily thinks this guy is too self-absorbed.

Meanwhile, a guy named Zach seems to like Emma. Moreover, he is not interested in flaunting this high-profile relationship in public. Instead, he wants to hang out with Lily. Most of all, can she help her mom realize he is the right Christmas boyfriend?

The premiere of Mom’s Christmas Boyfriend is on Saturday, December 23, at 8 p.m., Eastern, on Lifetime. On the next day, this holiday movie will be available to stream on the app.

Lifetime Movie Was ‘Fun’ Time On Set

Is making a Christmas movie fun? According to the Lifetime star of Mom’s Christmas boyfriend, Jeananne Goossen, it is the “most fun.” She posted on Instagram about it.

So yeah this happened and it was maybe the most fun and wholesome time I’ve ever had on set! They can fix me up for the poster, but I still had to wear a rain poncho for lunch because anyone who knows me knows I disappear into a feral tornado when I eat. Lifetime at Christmastime!
