Theresa Nist Changes Wedding Plans To Make Fans Happy

The Golden Bachelor ended with Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist falling in love. Now, they are planning a wedding. However, not everything has stuck to the original plan. It seems the couple may have actually changed their original plan to better suit their fans. Keep reading to find out what Thersa had to say.

Theresa Nist changes her ‘Golden Bachelor’ wedding

At the end of the first-ever season of The Golden Bachelor, Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner walked away engaged. Outside of the show, the couple has seemed happier than ever. So happy in fact, they plan to tie the knot in January. The wedding will be televised so Bachelor Nation can follow along. While everyone seems very excited about this, it apparently wasn’t the original plan for the ceremony.

“We had to think about it and it really wasn’t the original plan to do that…” Theresa starts according to Dexerto. However, after considering everyone who is ‘affected’ by the show, they knew they had to do it. “…But when we really thought hard about it. We said, there are so many people who have been affected by this show.”

Theresa goes on to explain that they didn’t want to drop everyone who loved the show. Not only did the show gain a large following, it was also the first season. So, Gerry and Theresa’s love is a pretty exciting success for the franchise.

“We wanted to bring them along with the culmination of it and bring them into it and really still try to make it this very intimate experience, but then bring them into this intimate experience,” Theresa says about the big day.

The day will be ‘spectacular’

Regardless of the change in plans, it seems that the couple is more than happy to be getting married at all. As mentioned above, they are planning their ceremony for January, a very quick turnaround. Theresa and Gerry have said in the past they are looking to get married quickly since they are so much older than the average newlyweds.

Apparently, Theresa’s daughter has been very hands-on when it comes to planning, making the day easier for Theresa and Gerry to enjoy. Both seem to be happy with her work. Additionally, they’ve both been agreeing on everything and Gerry even said the wedding will be spectacular.

“When she’s thinking out loud and I’m thinking out loud, they’re pretty much in harmony. I haven’t seen anything that wouldn’t work. It’s going to be spectacular.”
