Anna Cardwell’s Cancer Battle Documented For Reality TV
Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell passed away on Saturday and already, fans heard that she wanted to allow fans to attend her funeral. Now, the news arrives that she wanted her fight against the disease documented for reality TV. So, it looks like June Shannon’s daughter will feature a lot more in a new season of Mama June.
Anna Cardwell Passed Away But Will Be On Reality TV
June Shannon’s daughter didn’t appear in Mama June: From Not To Hot and other editions like Family Crisis. At least, not until recently, after she was diagnosed with terminal stage four adrenal carcinoma. Naturally, after she passed away, WeTV fans wondered if they would see the funeral on TV. The funeral that took place on Wednesday, December 13 was open for fans of Mama June to attend.
While Anna Cardwell seemed open about her fight against cancer, viewers might not want to watch the funeral. After all, there was a lot of backlash when TLC fans saw the funeral of Whitney Way Thore’s mom, Babs. My Big Fat Fabulous Life critics accused Whitney of doing anything for profit. Well, WeTV might be a bit more discerning because you won’t see the funeral on your screen. But, there will be more of Anna on reality TV.
Mama June Will Cover The Journey To Death
TMZ reported that a source close to the family revealed that the mom of two young girls wanted her journey documented for reality TV. The outlet noted, that she hoped “people could better understand the struggles she went through, and those of cancer patients, in general.” The outlet also noted, that even though she was happy for the “production team” to film everything, they left a few hours before her passing.
When the reality TV show airs Anna Cardwell’s last days, fans will not see her actually draw her last breath. Apparently, that decision came from the production team who filmed for the show. It will be interesting to see if this request by June’s daughter pulls in the viewers. Many people think that the show has run its course.
Anna Cardwell’s Short Life Might Not Be In Vain
Perhaps the desire to film the cancer fight for TV will help someone. After all, if caught early, cancer can be treated. Perhps, the girl who only lived for 29 years will help to save someone’s life by bringing more awareness. And that will prove that her life was not lived in vain.
Are you interested to hear that Anna Cardwell requested that her cancer fight be documented for reality TV? After all, she avoided it for much of her short life. Are you glad that WeTV didn’t film her passing and they won’t air her funeral either?
