‘Survivor’ Showmance: What Is Going Down With Dee And Austin?
Fans of Survivor have noticed that a showmance is starting this season between Dee and Austin. So what is going on with them? Well, Jeff Probst is talking a bit about showmances and this possible couple. Inside Survivor shared what Jeff had to say on a podcast this week.
Jeff Shares About Showmances, Dee And Austin
Producer Jeff Wolfe talked to Jeff Probst on the On Fire podcast. It turns out that this showmance is once he didn’t see coming at all. Rick Devens was there as well and said he noticed a few hints early on that this could be something. They do feel like they are doing a better job of hiding the showmance that Matt and Frannie did last season. It was obvious they were smitten with each other.
Matt and Frannie met last season on Survivor and they are still together, going strong. It turns out that they also compared themselves and talked about Rob and Amber during their season. The show just decided not to air that part and instead focus on them bonding over being nerds together.
It was also said that this showmance “had a very different feel to it… We’ll let’s start with, I think we can all agree that there’s a bit more of a romance novel paperback cover type of thing happening here. I mean, just look at them!”
Tonight Austin made it clear that he wants to go to the final three with Dee. The thing is Dee wouldn’t admit to him that she told Julie the truth about them trying to vote her out. That might say a little about how strong this showmance is between them.
Are Dee And Austin Still Together After Survivor?
So far, there are no spoilers about if this couple is together after Survivor is over. This was filmed a while ago in Fiji so they have now had to see if they can make it last in the real world. The fans are just going to have to wait and see what happens with these two like they did with others in the past. Hopefully, the live reunion at the end of the season will give us some answers.
