It’s a Monday, so fans know what that means. Michael Strahan was MIA from GMA once again. Who stepped in to fill the void?

When it comes to Mondays on Good Morning America, fans are getting used to seeing one co-host MIA. Michael Strahan wasn’t there once again, despite doing his hosting duties for NFL Sunday the night before. It meant a replacement co-host was needed once again, but who would take the spot this time? Would it be one of the usual replacement co-hosts?

Where was Michael Strahan on GMA Again?

Fans usually deal with the 52-year-old former football player MIA on Good Morning America on Mondays. Strahan hosts NFL Sunday over on FOX each week, and that films in California. GMA films in New York, and it is possible that the travel time is too much for him. Once football season is over, it is rare for Strahan to miss a Monday program.

The series doesn’t make a note as to why Strahan misses the show, though. It is because it happens so regularly and for the same reason that there is no need to bring it up. The one time that the disappearance was unexpected and prolonged, ABC did make an announcement to explain. This was due to personal reasons and it took a few weeks for him to return to the series. He was also missing from his NFL Sunday hosting duties and from social media, leading to fans being worried.

Who Hosted GMA in Strahan’s Place?

The Sun reports that Linsey Davis stood in for the 52-year-old former Cowboys player. She is a fan-favorite replacement host, and she regularly steps in when he is missing. In fact, she stepped in last Monday when he was not available to film.

During the Monday, Dec. 11 episode, Davis had the opportunity to talk to Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley. Haley discussed various important topics in her run up against Donald Trump for the Republican bid. While a lot of talk about Trump has been his fitness to run, Haley countered the debate with how it is not about fitness but about suitability. She does not believe that Trump is the best option for the party or to be president at this time. She also noted how she is not enough for either Pro-Trump and Anti-Trump fans, but she is focused on doing the right thing for the country.

Strahan is expected to be back in the GMA studio on Tuesday, Dec. 12. This matches previous weeks during football season. Fans will likely see Davis back as a stand-in next Monday when Strahan is back in California to host NFL Sunday again.
