Whitney Way Thore Gives Babs A Lovely Tribute On 1 Year Anniversary
Undoubtedly, it has been a difficult year for My Big Fat Fabulous Life star Whitney Way Thore and her family. While many struggles were leading up to the passing of Whitney’s mother, Barbara Thore, life without her looks very different. In the latest season of MBFFL, Whitney, Glen, and Hunter Thore have navigated life after Babs.
Family Faces Transition
Over the past year, Whitney Way Thore and her family have gone through many growing pains. Subsequently, this season of MBFFL was focused on life without the beloved mother and wife, Babs Thore. During the show, many points of contention arose with the way Whitney treats Glenn Thore. Especially in the area of his right to move through the grieving process in the way he needs. While fans didn’t necessarily agree with Whitney’s way of moving through the ins and outs of transition through this new stage of life, most were united by the common love for Babs and sadness in her loss.
Whitney Way Thore Gives Babs A Lovely Tribute
Significantly, Whitney Way Thore took to Instagram this week to commemorate the loss of her mom, Babs. Sadly, Babs suffered two strokes before her passing in December 2022. In a sweet post, Whitney shares a video of her and Babs lying in bed having a heart-to-heart. It was captioned: “I miss nights with my mommy and our songs and inside jokes and laughter and cuddles. One year down, a lifetime of missing you to go đź–¤.”
In the video, Whitney Way Thore says to her mom, “You look pretty.” Bab struggles to say something, but it is hard to understand. So Whitney gives her a quick kiss on the cheek and says, “Look, we’re twins.” Then Babs politely agrees. Then Whitney segwayed into distracting her by making her laugh. Meanwhile, Whitney shocks Babs by breaking out singing Mystikal’s “Shake Ya A**.” Babs’ eyes widen when she hears her say “a**” and then accepts her daughter’s shenanigans and continues to laugh. This message comes on the year anniversary of Babs Thore’s passing.
Fans Embrace Whitney Way Thore
During the latest season of MBFFL, Whitney Way Thore was met with lots of criticism for her controlling nature. Admittedly, many fans have expressed they are fed up with her and how she talks to people in her life. But, with the recent post for Babs, fans seem to set their woes aside and embrace her in the pain of missing her mom.
