My 600-lb Life wrapped up earlier this year. There were a lot of successful patients in the eight-episode Season 11. However, there were still a handful of cast members who failed to comply with Dr. Now’s weight loss regimes. Regardless, the reality show has inspired many throughout the years. The 11th season of My 600-lb Life ended with the heartbreaking story of Patrick Macon. He appeared in the finale weighted 657 and was struggling with his daily life. But he was determined to turn his life around and quickly lost enough weight to qualify for bariatric surgery.

Many viewers also love his positive personality throughout his journey, despite Dr. Now’s tough love. The Georgia native dropped 126 pounds by the end of his episode, bringing him down to 531 lbs. However, it seems that he’s facing a major health problem today. Some of his recent FB posts are about gallbladder cancer awareness. His wife even posted that she would be supporting him throughout his journey, implying that he’s battling gallbladder cancer.

My 600-lb Life Season 12 To Release In 2024 Along With Spinoff

According to TLC, the 12th season of My 600-lb Life will be released in March 2024. The series will continue to follow the stories of morbidly obese people who sought Dr. Now’s help. On top of that, the network will also release episodes from the spinoff, My 600-lb Life: Where Are They Now? Due to this, fans can expect more updates from the previous patients, including some from the older seasons. The spinoff will premiere in April 2024.

My 600-lb Life: What Will The Cast Members Look Like In Season 12?

TLC also revealed that My 600-lb Life Season 12 will feature some patients with problematic backgrounds. One of them is a recovering drug addict who’s now battling a food addiction. The latest season will also showcase the story of a bride-to-be fighting her obesity to finally walk down the aisle. A paralyzed man hoping to finally walk again will be in the upcoming season as well.

Not much is known about the other patients. But it’s clear that some of them have interesting stories. Many are also excited to finally see Dr. Now handing out strict programs again. His frank remarks made him popular but sometimes misunderstood by his patients. Regardless, he’s one of the most respected bariatric surgeons today, despite his age of 79.
