Joy Behar is sharing her post-retirement plan once she exits The View. She has had a very long run on the popular talk show. Yet, when she leaves, the eighty-one-year-old seems to already know what she is going to be doing. So, what tricks does she have up her sleeve? Read on for more details.
Joy Behar Shares The View Post-Retirement Plan
It has been eight years since Joy Behar was welcomed back to The View. She had been an original roundtable member when the show started in 1997. However, she was let go in 2013 but returned just two years later. Since then, Behar has been a controversial and opinionated staple of the morning talk show. There have been questions as to when she will retire as the comedienne is now in her eighties. Yet, she seems content with where she is at and what she is doing. At the same time, it appears that Joy is looking ahead and starting to map out what is next for her when the time does come to exit the show.

Since she is very opinionated and idea-oriented, Joy Behar shared her new job position. She had this to say: “You know what, I’m a good producer.” Teta agreed with this observation. Behar then added: “If I ever retire, maybe they should hire me as a consultant and a producer. Not an everyday producer; I don’t want to do that. But as a consultant. They should.” So, it seems even if she does leave her hosting gig, she would never really want to be fully away from the show.
Living Her Best Life
Joy Behar does have an actual plan away from The View. She has been working on a play called Bonkers in the Burroughs: Five Short Plays. She is hopeful it will debut at the end of 2024 if not early 2025. Along with that, Behar is also busy writing a book, slated to be released around the same time as her play. In the end, it seems Joy has plans to be around, in some capacity, for a very long time. Or, at least as long as they will have her.
