‘Golden Bachelor’ Gerry Turner’s Dad ‘Didn’t Care For Theresa’
Gerry Turner arrived on The Golden Bachelor in his 70s. However, he’s fortunate that his dad, Everett is still alive. At the age of 92, he’s seen a lot of life and he got candid about the choices that his son made. So, what is he saying about the outcome? Read on to find out.
Gerry Turner Was So Conflicted Over His Contestants
Leslie Fhima and Theresa Nist remained after Faith Martin was sent home. In Costa Rica, everything looked set for a wonderful time. However, things went badly for Leslie. After he told her that she was the one for him, The Golden Bachelor lead broke the news that he changed his mind. Not for the first time, he was all torn up inside.
There’s no way that Gerry Turner’s runner-up was faking her heartbreak and tears. Furious, she lambasted him. Bear in mind, that her family watched the show. Very supportive, they didn’t want to see her hurt. Most fans on social media seemed convinced that Lesie was the final choice. Instead, whatever was said in the Fantasy Suite with Theresa Nist swung him the other way. And, his dad’s not all that happy.
What Is Everett Saying About His Son’s Choice?
The Sun reported that Everett opened up to them about his son’s choices. It seems that he also thought that Leslie Fhima would be chosen. Some people complain that Theresa Nist got a bad edit. However, the older man just didn’t care for her much. While he knew Theresa was a possibility, he rated her lower than Leslie.
I had Leslie picked out. For some reason, I just didn’t care for Theresa. I was 60 percent for Leslie and 40 percent for Theresa.
Why is that? Well, he can’t really say why he felt less comfortable with Gerry Turner’s final pick. However, he seems to have had a gut feeling:
I couldn’t say why. Right off the bat, Theresa rubbed me the wrong way.
Did things get better? Possibly it did, because The Golden Bachelor is about to marry Theresa Nist. So, that makes her family. He talked about how he just wants the “best” for his son. So, now he is “bound to like her.” Not that it matters much. It seems that these days, he does like her, which seems to be very fortunate. Mind you, he did say that if she hurts Gerry Turner, there will be hell to pay.
I like Theresa. There is not a problem with me not liking her.
