Some Sister Wives fans on Facebook recently accused Robyn of lying when she claimed that Kody never wore Meri’s ring when they first met. However, some fans discovered an old episode featuring their first date where the patriarch was wearing a ring. According to some, it just shows that Robyn has had a habit of lying even before marrying into the family.
Fans React To Robyn’s Actions
Some Reddit users are calling out Robyn for her malicious act during her one-on-one interview with Sukanya. The host brought up the time when Kody melted Meri’s ring. But after receiving questions, the Sister Wives star answered immediately, went defensive, and said, “It was before me.”

Aside from her suspicious behavior, some also mentioned their controversial vows. According to a Reddit user, Kody and Robyn had a “covenant” in which Kody vowed to never treat his wife like Meri and make her the head of the family.
I’m sure ALL of that happened around the same time. I mean, she had so many other proposals and men waiting in line for her – she made Kody bargain with her. Or shall I say, she made demands.
Meanwhile, some speculated that Kody’s decision to melt the ring was to stick it to Meri’s head to prove that she’s no longer the legal wife and to also prove to Robyn how sincere he is in prioritizing her. “Exactly – the act of melting it down is the strangest most malicious thing to do. Take it off and put it in a drawer, or return it to her. Why the need to destroy it,” another commenter added.
