Season 7 Bachelorette Ashley Hebert is one of the most beloved in the franchise. She chose J.P. Rosenbaum over Ben Flajnik. Rosenbaum and Hebert were married in 2012. They welcomed a son, Fordham “Ford” Rhys, in 2014.

Their daughter, Essex “Essie” Reese, was born in 2016. In 2017, the couple appeared on WE TV’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.

Despite airing their marriage issues on TV, many Bachelor Nation fans thought Hebert and Rosenbaum would go the distance. Their separation in 2020 hit hard. The former couple finalized their divorce in 2021.

In A ‘Good Place’ With Ex-Wife

While the Bachelorette alums may have ended their marriage, they’re connected for life through their two children. In a recent Instagram Q&A, J.P. Rosenbaum admitted that the divorce was hard on him “at first.” But now they “co-parent well.” (via bachelornation.com.)

He added that their children are adjusting to the split just fine. He wrote, “The kids don’t ask about it anymore, they’re used to it by now!”

Furthermore, the construction manager was asked about his current relationship with his ex-wife. He shared that he’s in a “good place” with Hebert, noting that things are “Better than it’s ever been.”

Despite being on good terms with his ex, fans shouldn’t expect a reunion. Ashley Hebert has been dating food blogger Yanni Georgoulakis for a while now.

J.P. Rosenbaum hasn’t been publicly linked to anyone in the years since his divorce from Hebert. Does that mean he’s not interested in dating? He answered questions about his romantic future during his Q&A with his social media followers.

He said that he is open to dating and marriage, but not so much a wedding. Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum’s 2012 wedding was broadcast on national television. It doesn’t sound like he is interested in another wedding ceremony.

“As long as everything else is there, a wedding isn’t necessary, but yes, I would get married again,” he told his followers.

Not all of the Q&A was about his ex-wife or romantic status. The former television personality shared some words of wisdom. “Don’t be afraid to ask for help! Everyone can use a little therapy,” he wrote.

Rosenbaum also advised people to do what makes them happy so they don’t look back with regrets.
