‘Sister Wives’ Meri Brown Still Gets Kody’s Money In The End?
Sister Wives stars Kody and Meri Brown officially got married on April 21, 1990. They got divorced on September 25, 2014. So, on paper, Meri and Kody Brown were legally married for just shy of two and a half decades. Turns out that despite Robyn Brown now being legally married to Kody, Meri is still legally entitled to a piece of Kody’s pie. In fact, Sister Wives fans poured into the comments of one of her social media posts and BEGGED her to exercise her legal rights to his money.

Meri Brown Still Gets Kody’s Money In The End?
In a comment liked on Meri Brown’s Instagram post over 1,200 times, one fan BEGGED her to claim Kody’s social security benefits once she turns 65. This fan continued to explain that because Meri was married to Kody for over ten years she is legally entitled to those benefits. Furthermore, they added it also doesn’t matter that he remarried.
Another fan chimed into the comments that they also claimed social security on their ex-husband. They added that they were married to their husband for 15 years prior to their divorce.
A third fan noted that she didn’t need to worry about Robyn or Kody because it would not alter their benefits. Furthermore, Kody would not even be informed she made the claim.
A fourth fan penned they were so happy to see this recommendation and hoped Meri followed through on the advice.
Several other fans joined in BEGGING Meri Brown to claim those benefits. Fans agreed she earned them by being married to Kody for over 20 years.

Are Fans Giving Her Accurate Information?
Per the Social Security Administration (SSA), Sister Wives fans are giving Meri Brown accurate information. Legally, she is entitled to Kody Brown’s social security benefits. Per the SSA’s website, as long as Meri was married to Kody for over 10 years and he’s over the age of 62, she can claim his benefits.
The SSA website does specify that this information is true even if the divorced spouse remarries. So, Kody marrying Robyn doesn’t take these benefits away from Meri.
