Gold Rush Season 14 revealed that Rick Ness returned to the Discovery show with a lot of accusations and speculation. Plenty of that revolved around his love life. However, he made some poor decisions in the past. And now, he’s got his back to the wall with a make-or-break situation developing. Is any of that real? Find out what people are saying on social media.

Gold Rush Make-Or-Break Drama For Rick Ness

In the past, Rick Ness made some poor decisions, and that caused a rift between him and Parker Schnabel. Mind you, these days they seem to be a bit friendlier than they were. After all, time goes by and tension can get high in sometimes dangerous working conditions. It is a hard season for everyone with so much riding on the production of gold. So, some drama is expected. But, some people wonder just how real it all is.

Gold Rush revealed that things seem to be very serious for Rick. He’s not getting much gold from the stockpiled dirt. Plus, that means he’s facing rent problems. With only 36 ounces and a rent of 50 due, it’s an embarrassing moment. Then, he has equipment issues. And, if this doesn’t work out for him, it’s game over. Skint, empty pockets, and a failed redemption keep folks on the edge of their seats. However, skeptics question that.

Gold Rush Rick Ness Problems Don’t Add Up

There are people who worked in the mining industry before. Additionally, there are people who own businesses, or who crunch numbers who watch the Discovery show. So, for them, a back-against-the-wall scenario with Rick about to lose everything is ridiculous. On Reddit, an OP wondered why “the numbers just don’t add up on his operation.”

The Gold Rush storyline seems a bit dramatic and that makes the OP feel that it’s not “satisfying TV.” Actually, some other people also agree that an operator is not likely not to get into a situation where it’s an “omg I need gold this week otherwise I’m toast” moment.

Well, they might have missed the bit where Gold Rush showed him visiting the new strip and talking about moving across his gold wash plant over. But still, a lot of other people agree that much of the story seems fake.

  • Because he isn’t running all week, we’re like 8 episodes in. No chance the stockpile lasted this long. Think there is a lot of Tom foolery going on behind the scenes.
  • Gasp, it’s not real? The next thing you’ll try to tell me is there aren’t Templars sitting around the Ark of the Covenant in a cave on Oak Island. Now just completely ruin my life and tell me those damn frogs aren’t blind.
  • There is also a lot of chicanery, subterfuge, duplicity, legerdemain, skulduggery, hoodwinking, shenanigans, and even flimflam going on there, too.
  • The whole thing is a boondoggle.
