Viral TikTok Videos Compare Enrique Iglesias’ Voice To Elmo
Enrique Iglesias is a pop sensation from the early 2000s. He’s well known for hits like Hero showcasing his amazing voice. However, recent TikTok videos seem to have exposed Enrique as a bad singer. Is it true? Keep reading to learn why fans are comparing his voice to the Sesame Street character Elmo.
Enrique Iglesias Is On Tour In 2023
Enrique Iglesias is currently on tour in the United States and Canada with Ricky Martin and Pitbull. The trio kicked off the Trilogy Tour in October 2023 and it will continue into December.
Having Ricky, Pitbull, and Enrique all on the same stage seems to make perfect sense. All three men come from Latino backgrounds and they each reached their peak popularity around the same time.

When the group tour is over, Enrique will continue to travel solo through March 2024. Unfortunately, a number of videos being shared of the concerts have shown the Latin singer in a different light.
At one time in his career, Enrique Iglesias was known for the beautiful song Hero, which was known to literally take people’s breath away. Viral TikTok videos tell a different story though.
People are comparing the once-beloved pop singer to the gingerbread man from Shrek and Elmo from Sesame Street. Is there any truth to this or are people exaggerating a bad performance or two?
Is Enrique Iglesias Really A Bad Singer?
As TikTok videos of Enrique’s performances have started going viral, people are questioning whether or not the pop star is a bad singer. Here is a clip from one of his recent shows shared on TikTok.
@arieldiazz front row with my mom and i couldnt stop laughing #enriqueiglesias #trilogytour
The person sharing the clip said that they were in the front row with their mom and “couldn’t stop laughing.” Undoubtedly, this performance is far from what people expected of the Bailamos singer.
Many people took to the comment section to share their thoughts on the viral videos of Enrique Iglesias’s performances circulating.
“Is this an impersonator? What happened to Enrique Iglesias?” one person wrote. “I have officially been cured of my 20+ year crush on Enrique Iglesias,” another person commented.
One TikTok user wrote,”*sing to me paolo,” referring to the early 2000s film The Lizzie McGuire Movie. A number of other people have made similar comments on other videos of Enrique’s performances.
In the film, Lizzie McGuire, played by Hilary Duff, plans to turn off lip-syncing and expose Paolo as the bad singer he is. Some people feel like Enrique Iglesias is just another “Paolo.”
A reporter from the Houston Press has said that all the videos and comments aren’t true, though. After attending a show in November, Marco Torres said Enrique doesn’t sound like he used to, but he still sounds good.
Some people have also pointed out that the singer had pneumonia earlier this year, which may have an impact on how his voice sounds for some time.
What do you think? Is Enrique Iglesias a bad singer, or has he just had a few bad nights? Let us know what you think in the comments.
