‘DWTS’ Fans Call For First-Time Pro Rylee Arnold To Be Fired
Eighteen-year-old Rylee Arnold is living out her dreams as a professional dancer on Dancing With The Stars this year. The Utah dancer just graduated from high school in the spring and already has a professional dance career.
Rylee and her celebrity partner Harry Jowsey have made it to the final six and couldn’t be happier. However, the couple has received quite a bit of hate online recently.
DWTS viewers initially had a lot of fun watching the chemistry between Rylee and Harry blossom. But now that the competition has just a few more episodes left, many believe they’ve overstayed their welcome.
In fact, some DWTS viewers think Rylee’s debut season should be her last. Keep reading to see what they have to say online.
DWTS viewers feel largely underwhelmed by Rylee Arnold’s performances
Most of the Dancing With The Stars pros were a little awkward during their debut season. However, many viewers think that Rylee Arnold’s time in the ballroom should be over when Season 32 concludes.
All season long, she and Harry Jowsey have hovered near the bottom of the leaderboard. Rylee may be a technically trained dancer, but she’s really having a hard time teaching Harry to dance. Sadly, the scores reflect that.
Many viewers don’t understand why Rylee and Harry are still in the competition and started taking their frustrations out on social media.
In one Reddit thread, many DWTS viewers suggested that Rylee only received a job through her older sister, Lindsay Arnold.
“I’m not saying that her being a sibling of a pro was the only reason she got on, but the [Chmerkovskiy] brothers and the Houghs have ridiculously impressive resumés so they’re highly different to Lindsay and Rylee,” one user wrote.
A few others pointed out that Julianne Hough also joined DWTS at 18, but her skill set is very different than Rylee’s. Julianne Hough went on to win Seasons 4 and 5 consecutively. Many vocalized that they didn’t think Rylee was quite ready to be a pro on DWTS and would have been better suited for the troupe instead.
“I am sorry but if there isn’t big improvement this next week it will be time for you to go. [Rylee] is so good but she is very young and lack of experience is starting to show,” another DWTS viewer wrote on Rylee’s Instagram post.
Fans wonder how much the dancer choreographs herself
It’s no secret that Rylee Arnold has a lengthy dance background. However, she also has three older sisters who all dance. Fans couldn’t help but notice that some of Rylee’s Disney Night choreography matched her older sister Lindsay’s choreography from a few seasons prior.
Her family likely has helped choreograph in some capacity. But some Dancing With The Stars fans can’t help but wonder if she’s receiving too much help behind the scenes.
