Kate Gosselin Desperate For Cash, Wants Back On Reality TV
Kate Plus 8 alum Kate Gosselin lost her reality TV show with TLC and recently, she filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband Jon Gosselin to the tune of $133K. Apparently, she’s so broke that she needs the cash. Allegedly, it dates back to a domestic support case from way back in 2012. New sources suggest that she looks to reality TV shows to help boost her income.
Kate Plus 8 Alum Kate Gosselin Didn’t Go Back To Nursing?
In October, the news emerged that Jon’s ex was literally forced to struggle to make ends meet with paychecks. At the time, InTouch Weekly reported she allegedly “borrowed $100,000 from her kids’ trust fund ‘to survive.” At about the same time, rumors came that she had returned to work as a nurse.
The stories about Kate Gosselin going back to nursing arrived after The Sun reported that she has an active nursing license. The idea that she sat at home watching TV and presumably counting the pennies for entertainment, was further sparked by a social media influencer who seemed certain that she got a job as an RN. However, a new article suggests that she didn’t go into nursing again because it doesn’t pay enough money.

Kate Gosselin Looks For Cash In Reality TV Shows
On November 16, InTouch Weekly produced a new article about the broke Kate Plus 8 alum. The article covered the old ground about the fight for a settlement from her husband Jon. However, an interesting line by a source seems to prove the stories about nursing are incorrect. The outlet wrote:
Though Kate got her nursing license reinstated after relocating to North Carolina, the source says she hasn’t sought work in healthcare. Instead, she looks to reality TV to boost her finances.
Notably, Kate Gosselin featured in Special Forces: World; Toughest Test in January, but she didn’t last beyond the first episode. Additionally, the outlet reminded fans that the former TLC star also landed a spot with “Dancing With the Stars, Celebrity Wife Swap, and Kate Plus Date.”
Nursing Does Not Appeal – Pays Too Little
Kate Gosselin might be broke, but not broke enough to go and get a real job, after all. So, those critics who think the former TLC star is probably a nasty nurse can relax. Apparently, “Nursing doesn’t pay great — especially compared to what she gets on TV.”
There are different shades of broke. For many people, it means scrabbling under the sofa cushions. Or, rechecking the pockets of their old jacket for a dollar. For others, a net worth of $500K equates to down and nearly out.
