‘Gold Rush’ Alum Reveals Rick Ness Owes Him Money
Gold Rush star Rick Ness has a fresh start in Season 14. However, a former member of Team Rally is less than pleased that Ness has forgotten a promise.
Who has called out Rick and what is his story? Here are the latest dramatic details.
Gold Rush Alum Accuses Rick Ness Of Owing Him Money
On Tuesday, Gold Rush alum Chis Kruse went to Instagram to share his new baby. It is a 1972 Gran Torino in a gorgeous bottle green. Kruse, a member of Team Rally since the beginning also revealed that he bought this classic car with some of the hard-earned money he got from gold mining.
Got a new toy over the weekend. Picked up this 72 Torino with built 351 Cleveland backed by a build C4 with stall converter, and 3.50 gears with a Detroit Locker. Man does this thing rip!
Traded some of my gold bonus from my second season of gold mining for it. If I ever see or hear from Rick again maybe I’ll get the other half of my gold bonus I was promised nearly 2 years ago from my 3rd season in the Yukon and buy something else cool.
There is a lot in this post. Chris Kruse was hand-picked by Rick Ness to join his team when he worked his own claim. Last year, Chris, Zee, and other members of Team Rally went to the Yukon to find that their leader and friend did not show up. At that time, the Discovery cameras showed Rick, who revealed that he had SAD.
However, at the beginning of this season, Rick confessed to Zee that he used cocaine instead of dealing with his mental health issues. But now, he is pivoting. This means a new crew and a cleaned-up lifestyle. More than that, he is determined to become a success.
But, it appears that Ness still has not resolved his past. That includes his former team of his close friends.
Gold Rush Star Has Never Talked To Chris Kruse
Perhaps the biggest part of Chris Kruse’s post was that he had still not heard from Rick Ness. He has not seen the Gold Rush star. Moreover, he is still waiting for money owed to him.
While Season 14 is at the halfway point, Ness started mining back in March. Before that, he was back in Wisconsin to sell his mom’s house to pay for his return. So, he was around. But, Rick failed to connect with a friend who wound up unemployed because Rick was a no-show.
However, Rick has since admitted that he isolated himself from everyone.
Rick Ness Started Over With New Team
In September, Rick spoke to TV Insider about returning to gold mining. He admitted that during his lost year, he shut out people.
Then, he proceeded to diss his former dedicated crew of friends. He revealed that he consciously chose to build a new team from scratch.
The biggest thing was building a new team. I made the decision that I did have to start from scratch with that as well. There were a lot of reasons for all that. In the past, I gave my trust to people a little too easily…if I was going to do this, I wanted to spend more time to get the right people.
It certainly seems as though Chris Kruse has responded to this comment about trust. He trusted Rick Ness to pay his gold bonus. Rick has not seen him, nor has he talked to him. Lastly, he has not given him the gold bonus he worked hard for.
Gold Rush Season 14 airs on Fridays on Discovery.
