‘My 600-lb Life’: What Happened To S10 Paul MacNeill?
My 600-lb Life alum Paul MacNeill was one of the most inspirational patients in Season 10. He appeared on the show at 757 pounds. The Florida native was struggling with his health and couldn’t perform any basic tasks. But he made incredible progress during his time with Dr. Now.
His episode ended early, but he made much better progress after the show. Sadly, he passed away a few months ago, leaving a lot of fans devastated. Keep reading to see Paul’s journey and his cause of death.
My 600-lb Life: Paul MacNeill’s Physical Journey
Paul had an impressive journey in the show. He followed the strict diet programs of Dr. Now and quickly lost enough weight to qualify for bariatric surgery. He was hesitant to relocate to Houston at first due to his girlfriend, Jenn. The My 600-lb Life alum was able to drop 166 pounds in just 6 months. However, his episode ended by the time he was preparing for his bariatric surgery. His last reported weight was 641 lbs.
MacNeill was good to his fans and kept in touch with them when he was still alive. In August 2021, he put up a fundraiser for his weight loss surgery. He sought help due to his inability to work with his condition. He was able to receive the operation, and many of his last social media photos show that he was able to achieve his goals.
Paul Was Able To Transform Himself
In August 2021, Paul’s FB account where he shared his weight loss journey was hacked. Fortunately, he was able to recover it and continued sharing his progress. In August 2023, the former My 600-lb Life star uploaded a photo of himself with slimmer facial features. One of his last full-body photos was in May. Paul MacNeill wasn’t able to share what weight he had achieved. But it’s clear that he was able to lose massive pounds after getting a bariatric surgery. Unfortunately, his life tragically ended at the peak of his journey.
My 600-lb Life: Paul MacNeill Passed Away
Aside from losing weight, Paul was able to get many parts of his life back on track. He got engaged to Jenn Trivette and revealed in September that they had already sent invitations for their wedding. The My 600-lb Life alum was able to travel and interact with his relatives without worrying about his condition.
However, Jenn announced the tragic news about her fiance’s passing in October. Paul MacNeill died in a car accident. His fiance also uploaded a phone call with him during the last seconds of his life. Many were devastated by what happened, especially with his wedding all set up. Regardless, Paul is truly one of the most inspiring patients in the franchise due to his ability to lose so much weight in such a short amount of time.
