Gerry Turner Doesn’t Support A ‘Golden BIP’ Spinoff
Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner doesn’t support a Golden Bachelor In Paradise spinoff. Keep reading to see what he has to say about the idea.
How Many Episodes Are Left In Golden Bachelor?
The first-ever season of The Golden Bachelor premiered on September 28, and it is already almost over.
On the episode airing November 9, viewers finally found out the ending of the cliffhanger from the previous episode: Would Gerry Turner send Theresa Nist or Faith Martin home?
With Leslie Fhima already glutching the safety of a rose, Turner gave the remaining rose to Theresa Nist.
Nist and Fhima now head into the Fantasy Suite dates before the Golden Bachelor makes his final decision during the two-hour season finale.
That’s right – there are just two episodes remaining in the season. The Fantasy Suite dates begin on Thursday, November 16. The show isn’t airing on the Thanksgiving holiday the following week.
The Golden Bachelor season finale will air on Thursday, November 30, at 8 PM Eastern.
Gerry Turner Doesn’t Support A Golden BIP Spinoff
With the success of the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelor, fans have been clamoring for a Golden Bachelorette spinoff. The producers, Gerry Turner himself, and many of the Season 1 rejected contestants fully support the idea of a Golden Bachelorette spinoff.
If the network approves the spinoff, it likely won’t hit TV until the 2024 Summer or Fall schedule.
Joey Graziadei has already been named the next Bachelor, and his season will air in January.
Another popular spinoff in the Bachelor Nation franchise is Bachelor In Paradise, where unlucky alums converge on a beach in Mexico to make a connection and possibly get engaged.
Season 9 is currently airing on Thursdays, right after The Golden Bachelor. While Gerry Turner is all-in on the idea of a Golden Bachelorette, he’s not too keen on the idea of a Golden Bachelor In Paradise.
During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, he was asked which of his former contestants would “thrive” in the BIP environment.
Gerry Turner sidestepped the question by sharing his disapproval of the idea in general. “I just don’t know if that’s something I would support,” he said.
While he didn’t name anyone specific, he did admit that “an awful lot of individuals” from his season would have a “fantastic time” on the beach.
“They would have the time of their lives!” he added.
Gerry Turner didn’t share the details on why he can’t support a Golden Bachelor In Paradise. Why do you think he’s against the idea? Share your thoughts in the comments.
Don’t miss the last two episodes of The Golden Bachelor on Thursday, November 16, and Thursday, November 30, starting at 8 PM Eastern on ABC.

I am pleased to hear that. I love both Bachelor and Golden Bachelor shows.
I never liked BIP. It encourages people to pick and make out with anyone just to stay in the show. Not for me. Its a bad example for our young and unmarried friends and family.
