‘DWTS’ Whitney Houston Night: Who Had The High Score?
Dancing With The Stars just hosted another memorable night of fun and entertainment! Whitney Houston Night has just wrapped up and fans now have their Season 32 top six.
It’s been an interesting season full of surprise eliminations and dark horse competitors. As the remaining six couples prepare for the semifinals, DWTS viewers are still talking about the exciting routines from this evening.
Which couples stood out from the competition and earned high scores from the judges?
DWTS contestants gave Whitney Houston Night their best performances
DWTS Season 32 has featured many guest judges. Billy Porter joined the judges for Whitney Houston Night and helped score the top seven couples.
How I Met Your Mother actress Alyson Hannigan and her dance partner Sasha Farber have been in the middle of the pack all season long. But this week, audience members and judges alike noticed a huge breakthrough.
They performed a Contemporary routine to Whitney Houston’s “The Greatest Love of All.” Alyson said she chose the song because it really resonated with her when she was a child. The judges raved over the performance; it even brought Carrie Ann Inaba to tears. They received a 33/40 for the number, including a 9/10 from guest judge Billy Porter.
Dr. Strange actress Xochitl Gomez and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy scored a perfect 40/40 for their Tango to “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me).” The judges and audience members alike think Val and Xochitl absolutely have what it takes to take home the Mirrorball Trophy this season.
Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov earned a 39/40 for their Paso Doble to “Queen of the Night,” just shy of Xochitl and Val’s score. However, Ariana and Pasha took the top spot on the leaderboard tonight, thanks to the bonus points they won during Music Video Night.
This week’s episode also featured a dance-off, which gave the dancers extra bonus points they really needed to progress in the competition. The results of the dance-off are as follows:
Cha-cha-cha to “So Emotional,” Xochitl & Val vs Charity & Artem
Winner: Charity & Artem
Rumba to “One Moment in Time,” Alyson & Sasha vs Harry & Rylee
Winner: Alyson & Sasha
Salsa to “It’s Not Right but It’s Okay,” Jason & Daniella vs Barry & Peta
Winner: Barry & Peta
One more couple exits the competition
As the night drew to a close, fans knew they would have to say goodbye to one couple in the end. Unfortunately for Barry Williams and Peta Murgatroyd, their time in the ballroom came to a close this week. They had a good run on the show and their fans will certainly miss them.
