Deborah Roberts accompanied Al on The Kelly Clarkson Show and agreed with the show’s host that it was a very scary time.
She said, “Al is wanting to look forward, not backwards, which is great, ever the optimist, but it was a very, very difficult time, and we are so blessed to have him in full form and just great.”
Al’s wife said that many things have changed about their day-to-day life since his health crisis. Apparently, she has been taking a more patient approach with her husband at home.
Common grievances between spouses like leaving your underwear on the floor or dishes in the sink don’t seem to matter much anymore. Deborah just reminds herself that she is thankful that he is here.
Kelly Clarson joked with the couple that it’s an easy way for Al Roker to get out of trouble with his wife. To which he laughed and joked, “It’s your fault! You saved me!”
