Is ‘Unexpected’ On TLC Over?
Unexpected on TLC last aired 17 months ago and now, fans wonder if it’s all over. Even if it does return with Season 6, will viewers want to tune in and watch it? After all, OGs like Jenna Ronan’s legacy returns become boring old news. New girls might get interested fans, but rumors ran around that there are only a couple of them being considered. Is it going the same way as MTV’s Teen Mom? Read on to find out what fans think.
What Happened To Season 6 Of Unexpected On TLC
In August, fans started wondering what happened to the sixth season of the show. Surely it can’t be delayed because there are no teen pregnancies happening in the USA. In Season 5, TLC fans saw that Jenna Ronan ditched Aden and seemed happy and confident. Meanwhile, Tiarra Boisseau told fans that she’d exited. Fans hoped for an August announcement, but that never happened. In fact, nothing at all happened, including a preview, trailer or teaser.
More recently, Unexpected fans discussed the TLC show. They heard that Lilly Bennett would return and that Jenna Ronan might birth her new baby daddy’s baby on the show. That’s one heck of a long pregnancy! Additionally, there were two new pregnant girls expected to join the cast. Anyway, the recent strike could have been behind the delay. Mind you, there seemed to be little enthusiasm since Hailey Tilford and Hailey Tomlinson’s drama with Matthew Blevins.

Unexpected Season 6 Might Not Happen, Is It Over?
On Reddit, an OP asked, “Are we ever getting a season six or is the show over?” Well, a few fans responded. Basically, people are tired of being told the show will come “soon.” The continued silence irks people. Why can’t TLC just make a general date announcement, like December or January? After all, boredom sets in now.
One person commented that Unexpected makes them “soooo bored of tyra and her family like we get it they come from five generations of teen parents.” They added, “it’s sad we’ve seen it the last three seasons what more is there to see???”
Enthusiasm Is Low
One Unexpected fan said, “I need a date at this point or I’m honestly not going to be invest[ed].”
Another person who seems to lose interest wrote, “I really hope they don’t get sucked into the teen mom trap and start focusing on the same handful of girls each season. I like learning about new girls and new stories. Not watching these same old low lives make fatter paychecks with every season.”
Meanwhile, someone else said, “I’m VERY f–king tired of Jenna and Lilly. They’re boring, entitled and spoiled. They don’t live in reality.”
