Just like the other patients of Dr. Now, Dopluhs suffered from mental health issues, which led to her overeating. However, she showed determination to change her life. Kenae has been through so much in life. Her mother passed away when she was younger and also had issues with infertility as an adult. But despite all the hardships, the My 600-lb Life alum still followed Dr. Now’s programs, which led her to shed 133 pounds. Unfortunately, she wasn’t qualified for bariatric surgery due to health issues, which created a big obstacle to her physical goals.

Kenae also claimed that she received hate after the show and felt that her life was fully exposed. However, she clarified that the positive messages she received inspired her even more to keep working on her weight. She ended her episode at 482 lbs.

Did Kenae Lose More Weight After The Show?

Kenae kept in touch with the fans after the show. She has yet to share her current weight. But in October, the former My 600-lb Life star uploaded a photo of herself looking much healthier. Furthermore, Dr. Now’s patient now has a much better support system. It also appears that she has yet to get her weight loss surgery. She’s been going strong with her husband, Rodney Dolphus, who’s a pastor at Sweet Union Baptist Church, located in Texas. Many of her photos also show that she can now spend more time with her nephews and nieces.

My 600-lb Life: Kenae Dolphus Is Currently Dealing With Problems

Aside from losing weight, it seems that Kenae is also dealing with some problems in her personal life. On October 29, the My 600-lb Life alum posted a worrying message about being brokenhearted. “My heart literally hurts from sadness. Leaning Trusting Depending Believing in God for he is the greatest comforter,” the former TLC star said.

While Kenae Dolphus didn’t exactly share what she was going through, a lot of her friends took to the comments section to cheer her up. It also appears that her sadness came from the condition of her newborn grandson, who’s currently fighting health issues. Despite all the obstacles, it’s clear that Kenae is still doing her best for the sake of her family, making her one of the most inspiring patients of Dr. Now.
