In October 2024, Mama Jane resurfaced with a worrying condition. It was revealed that the Bringing Up Bates star just had her second surgery to remove cancer from her nose. According to Kelly Jo, Mama Jane is healing well, but she’s asking for prayers for her fast recovery. Aside from Mama Jane, Papa Bill has also shown signs of dementia in recent months. Carlin even got emotional in one of her vlogs after her grandfather forgot who she was. She had to introduce herself again while holding back her tears. But she later bawled in the car on the way back home.

Kelly Jo Begging For Prayers For Mama Jane

In a social media post, Kelly Jo Bates shared a clip with Mama Jane. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, Mama Jane is undergoing radiation treatment for the next five weeks. Kelly Jo cheered Mama Jane up by saying that all the people from the online world love her. She also said that Mama Jane does get weak and feels nauseous whenever she finishes a radiation treatment. But she’s been a warrior and is very positive about her recovery journey. Many fans also took to the comments section to send their thoughts and prayers for Mama Jane.
