‘RHOBH’ Dorit Kemsley Talks Marital Wounds

RHOBH star Dorit Kemsley is opening up about her marital wounds when it comes to husband, Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley. The two have been married for eight years but things have been rocky. So much so that it recently came out that they were splitting up. What does Dorit have to say about their issues? Read on for more details.

RHOBH Dorit Kemsley Talks Marital Wounds

On the night of the RHOBH Season 13 premiere, word broke that Dorit Kemsley and her husband, PK were splitting. It seemed that she had fallen out of love with him and he was living in a Beverly Hills hotel. Additionally, he was seen without his wedding ring. Though they soon disputed these rumors, fans felt this mirrored what co-stars and good friends, Mauricio Umansky and Kyle Richards had done. It was alleged they were splitting, they refuted this with a statement, and then they officially separated. Dorit has no qualms with saying her marriage has been rough over the last few years.

Now, Dorit is sharing her personal struggles in her marriage. She has opened up on the show about how rough it has been since she was robbed at gunpoint. Her PTSD was awful yet PK was always in London so she felt she did not have her support system when she needed him. According to Page Six, the mother of two and fashion designer was on the outlet’s podcast, Virtual Reali-Tea. There, she held nothing back about what has transpired between her and her husband.

“The last couple of years, post-home invasion, have been very difficult for me. There’s no area of your life that it doesn’t touch. And my husband, who travels for work and he was traveling the most that year … was the year that I needed him the most,” Dorit Kemsley shared. She noted that their not being together as much added to her PTSD. Plus, there was a second robbery which she recently talked about on RHOBH. That only made things worse between her and PK as she fell back into her worst PTSD moments.

She Needed Him

It really seems like the crux of PK and Dorit Kemsley’s issues stemmed from the fact that she needed him. Sadly, he was unavailable or did not see how badly she was suffering. Dorit did share that she and PK are not headed for a divorce but they did feel extremely disconnected. This is rare for them as they are very intertwined but she did not want to hide their problems. Dorit added this: “When we came into this season, it was really important for me to be open and honest and talk about it because it’s the reality.”
