As we reported, this fan-favorite Bachelor Nation couple was struck with a tragedy. Sadly, their dog Sophie passed away. She was diagnosed with cancer recently and underwent surgery. After her surgery, things didn’t seem too bad. Unfortunately, not long after, Ryan Sutter broke the news that his beloved dog had passed away.
On social media, both Trista and Ryan have been open about the intense heartbreak they’re feeling. This loss hit them very hard and they’re not holding back when it comes to grieving publicly.
Amid their sadness, the Bachelor Nation couple is showing plenty of love to each other on social media too. Though he’s grieving the loss of his pup, Ryan decided to give his wife a special shoutout on a significant day.
Ryan Sutter Pens Sweet Tribute To Trista
On his Instagram page this weekend, Ryan shared a touching tribute to his wife. He revealed that she celebrated her 51st birthday on October 28. He shared a gorgeous photo of her enjoying a cocktail and said that “smiles have been at a premium this year.”
In his post, Ryan applauded his wife for staying calm and collected amid these tough times. He also gave her a shout-out for putting her needs last while focusing on the family.
The Bachelor Nation star continued, “I’m happy we could smile today. Really smile. I’m happy to have spent another year with you – another birthday. I’m happy you’re in my life, that you’re our kids mom and that you still let me be your pickle ball partner. Happy Birthday Mama. Thank you for making me smile!”
