Jenelle Evans Corrects Narrative On CPS Investigation
Teen Mom alum Jenelle Evans is correcting the false narrative that’s been circulating regarding her CPS investigation. It was launched at the beginning of October 2023 after her eldest son, Jace, 14, ran away. This was the third time the teen had done such a thing in less than two months. So, what does the mother of three have to say? Read on for more details.
Jenelle Evans Corrects Narrative On CPS Investigation
For Jenelle Evans, she feels that she and her husband, David Eason have been falsely represented. The former Teen Mom stars are now under a microscope since Jace, 14, ran away and accused David of assault. Due to this, he is technically in CPS custody but has been staying with his grandma, Barbara. She was the one who raised him from the time he was a baby until early this year. On Wednesday, October 25th, a judge determined Jace should stay with Barbara for the time being. As this was going on, David was charged with child abuse and there is apparently a warrant out for his arrest.
Jenelle has spoken out on the latter two situations. Now, she is speaking to The Messenger about what is going on with CPS, her husband, Jace, and more. She started with how Jace is doing mentally:
“My son has been having mental health issues for the past two to three years. He has been on and off medication that was not prescribed under my care. They are thinking it’s because of the effects of the medication, it’s causing him to have behaviors he shouldn’t have. He’s had outbursts. He’s in intensive therapy at the moment and getting the help he needs.”
At one point, Barbara claimed Jace ran away the first time because Jenelle had taken him off of his much-needed meds plus withdrew his therapy. Barbara apparently had him put back on what he needed while in the hospital after he left the third time. Jenelle went on to add:
“Everyone thinks it’s investigating our other kids about child abuse and neglect [however] it’s about our son. In the court they don’t even bring up David’s name. At all. It’s only about me and my mom and Jace’s mental health.”
Where Is David?
David Eason did show up to one court once during this but was quickly kicked out. Allegedly, he cannot have any contact with Jace therefore he should not have been on the premises. As for Jenelle Evans, she apparently cannot get in touch with her son. It is up to him to decide if he wants to have anything to do with her. Yet, would they even be in this court situation had Jace not claimed he had been hurt by his stepfather? There is also talk that David had left marks on Jace’s neck, as well.
At the same time, Jenelle maintains that her mother could no longer handle Jace which is why she ended up getting custody in early 2023. She claims Barbara would call her and David due to Jace’s behavioral issues. More so, Evans adds that her mom and son had not had any contact since July 2023. Finally, Jenelle made it clear that the two other children, Kaiser and Ensley, have been doing great as they were raised by her and David. Jace was the only one raised by Barbara yet it appears Kaiser, 9, had recently been suspended and Jenelle was not sending Jace to school.
