‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ Makes Marie Osmond’s Dream Reality

The Bold and the Beautiful is making Marie Osmond’s dream a reality. The fashion showdown between Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) is drawing guest appearances for the show…including Osmond.

Marie Osmond’s bucket list includes acting on a soap

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Marie Osmond explains that one of the many items on her bucket list is to act in a soap opera. Her dream comes true when she debuts on The Bold and the Beautiful this week as Countess Von Frankfurt. The character is a wealthy woman who lives a jet-set life and wears only the best couture designs. The Forresters, as fans know, specialize in world-renown high-fashion.

The 64-year-old entertainer will have three B&B episodes she’ll be on. Osmond explains that the experience was wonderful and loves playing a character like the countess. She adds that in the past, she and The Bold and the Beautiful producer, Bradley Bell, had talks about this opportunity.

“Years ago, I talked to Brad Bell and he said, ‘You know, we should do a soap with you or something like that.’”

The next thing she knows, the producer calls her and she’s on B&B.

Countess Von Frankfurt thinks the “world revolves around her,” Osmond says. The Bold and the Beautiful character has “serious attitude” — one that she enjoys playing.

Marie Osmond hilarioulsy remarks that the countess “really needs her ego put in check.” However, she explains that the B&B role is “fun to play.”

The Bold and the Beautiful stars would like to see Osmond return

Marie reveals that some of the stars on the show would love to see her back. Thorsten Kaye, Joshua Hoffman, and Y&R stars, Tracey Bregman and Kate Linder, want a return appearance by the famous star. It’s a treat when famous faces show up on the soaps … not just for the fans, but for the stars as well.

Osmond has nothing but great words for the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful, saying their work ethic is amazing, the talent is great, and they were “gracious” in welcoming her to the set. She’s impressed with the amount of lines the daytime stars have to rehearse in a short amount of time before taping. It reminds her of the variety show she used to be on and how they had to get so much done in one shot.

Osmond is coming on during a critical plot involving Eric Forrester. The iconic designer is going through a deadly health crisis that the majority of his family isn’t aware of. Soon there’s going to be intense drama as his condition is leaked to everyone. It’s not revealed if this will be during the fashion showdown or right after.

Another goal Marie Osmond has on her bucket list that she did is skydiving. Others she wants to do is go to Iceland and climb Mt. Sinai.

The Bold and the Beautiful will feature Marie Osmond’s character on October 27.
