Hallmark’s Countdown To Christmas is here. The new holiday movie Our Christmas Mural is premiering over Merry Thanksgiving Weekend. What is this movie about?
According to the Hallmark synopsis, single mom Olivia is not having a great Christmas. She just lost her big city job at an art museum. However, she and her eight-year-old son Parker are headed back to New Hampshire for the holidays. This is home. Perhaps Olivia can get a reset?
For the past two years, Olivia has suffered from “an emotional and artistic block.” That all happened after her husband died. Before this, Olivia flourished as an artist. She never lacked an idea, or feared a blank canvas. Olivia used to have a cornucopia of good ideas. Now, she is broken and blank. Worst of all, she doesn’t know how to get out of this rut.
But, her mom Betty thinks she has a solution. Their small town is launching its first-ever mural contest. She entered Olivia’s work, and Olivia won!
But, Olivia starts to panic when she sees a blank canvas. But, the runner-up, Will Campbell, the local art teacher partners with her. The two are at odds with each other from the beginning. But, once they start to share their own artistic origin stories, the two suddenly cross the threshold, and they start to look at each more romantically.
With a Christmas Eve deadline looming as well as Olivia and Parker’s impending departure, they must navigate their growing feelings and juggle unexpected curveballs in family and career, all while creating a Christmas masterpiece that will inspire the townspeople for many years to come.

The premiere of Our Christmas Mural is on Sunday, November 26, at 6 p.m., Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel. In addition, those who subscribe to Peacock can watch up to 72 hours after the premiere.
