5 Things Viewers Never Learned About Edith On ‘Golden Bachelor’
Since she was sent home early in the competition, Golden Bachelor viewers never got to know Edith Aguirre. Keep reading to learn five things about her and her thoughts on possibly being the first Golden Bachelorette.
Edith Aguirre As First Golden Bachelorette?
With the success of Golden Bachelor, fans are hoping for a Golden Bachelorette spinoff. ABC has yet to comment on the possibility, but the ratings point in that direction.
Even without confirmation, Bachelor Nation is already sharing their hopes for who will be the first Golden Bachelorette. One possible contender is Edith Aguirre, who many viewers think left the show too early.
After leaving in Week 3, she spoke with Extra TV about all things Golden Bachelor. She shared that her family told her about the online campaign to make her the next Bachelorette.
Aguirre said she was “shocked” and “surprised” about the love from Bachelor Nation fans but didn’t spill any tea on whether the network has contacted her about the idea.
Her Celebrity Crush
After her elimination, Aguirre was challenged by the Bachelor Nation blog to answer 20 rapid-fire questions. One question was to name her celebrity crush. “Henry Cavill at 60 years of age! Lol,” she answered.
Cavill, 40, starred on Netflix’s The Witcher for three seasons.
While she may or may not have a crush on him, she named Dwayne Johnson (AKA “The Rock”) as the famous person she would like to meet.
Advice For Future Bachelor Contestants
While Aguirre didn’t find love with Gerry Turner, she did learn a lot from her experience on The Golden Bachelor. Many fans praise the senior contestants for their maturity and mutual friendship, especially compared to the young women appearing on The Bachelor show.
If she could tell future contestants anything, her advice would be, “You will be treated like a queen and meet some wonderful people in the cast and on the production!”
The best dating advice she’d ever gotten from someone? “Love yourself so you could love someone else.”
Edith Aguirre Picks Her Golden Girls Squad
The network upset viewers by putting the elderly contestants in dorm-style bunk rooms in the Bachelor mansion. Aguirre ended up sharing a bunk bed with Theresa Nist.
When asked to choose just three people from Bachelor Nation to hang out with for the rest of her life, she answered, “My girls Ellen, April, and Susan!”
She Loves Talking About The Afterlife
One thing viewers definitely didn’t learn about Edith Aguirre is her love for the afterlife. “I love talking about spirits and the afterlife. I truly believe our souls keep living on. It’s so fascinating for me,” she told the blog.
Do you wish Edith Aguirre had stayed on the show long enough for the audience – and Gerry Turner – to get to know her better? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
Only six women remain to compete for the final rose. The Golden Bachelor airs on Thursdays at 8 PM Eastern, only on ABC.
