‘Buddy Games’ Delayed, What Time Will It Air Tonight?

Buddy Games Delayed, What Time Will It Air Tonight?
Many shows will be delayed on Thursday evening, October 19th, 2023. Buddy Games, based on the Josh Duhamel film of the same name, is no exception. It usually airs at 8 p.m. EST/7CST on CBS but tonight, it will be a touch different. Rather than its regularly scheduled time, the competition reality series will be on anywhere between 815 and 822 p.m. EST. So, what is the cause for the delay? President Joe Biden will be speaking from the Oval Office starting at 8 p.m. EST/7CST. This will cause all shows to be preempted thus the delay but it is unclear how long the speech will actually be.
When Buddy Games does finally air, it will be episode six but what does Josh Duhamel have in store? According to the episode guide: “The buddies continue to fight to stay in the game through a set of grueling balloon-popping and camp-inspired challenges.” For those who are unfamiliar with the series, it is based on the 2019 film starring Duhamel. Per Variety, this was all a culmination of his experiences with his actual buddies for the last two decades. Every summer, for one weekend, Josh and his good friends gather for a bunch of competitive games. Thus, the movie and show were born.
For the television series, six groups of four friends, all completely different in lifestyles, come to an “adult summer camp.” Through this experience, they will test their friendship to see if they really are great friends or if they are not as close as they think they are. So, what does the winning team get? “The last buddy team standing will be crowned champion and take home a cash prize plus the coveted Buddy Games trophy, and of course bragging rights.”
Also Delayed
As aforementioned, Buddy Games is not the only show that is not delayed this evening. The Golden Bachelor is on the same time schedule as BG. Additionally, Bachelor In Paradise will be delayed due to the President’s speech. Fortunately, it seems that all of the shows will still go on, they will just be a tad later than expected. Again, this delay is expected to be anywhere from fifteen to twenty-two minutes so set your DVRs accordingly.
