Lonnie and John followed Dr. Now’s diet programs despite the difficulties. They eventually lost enough weight to undergo bariatric surgery. John was able to shed 294 pounds by the end of the episode, which brought him down to 393 lbs. Meanwhile, his brother dropped 245 lbs, bringing him to 368 lbs. They also became one of the most successful siblings that Dr. Now took care of. The My 600-lb Life alums didn’t end up like the Assanti brothers from Season 5, who both failed to support one another.

Lonnie Hambrick Is Looking Unrecognizable Today

Lonnie has kept in touch with the fans on social media regarding his weight loss journey. In June, the former My 600-lb Life star shared a photo of himself flaunting his stunning progress. “I love seeing progress… even if it’s slow. Check out my muscles guys!” he captioned. The Texas native became a regular at the gym. Earlier this month, he shared another photo of himself showing off a physically fit body.

Furthermore, Lonnie Hambrick is presently engaged to a man named Richard Gavadin and has been sharing updates about their wedding preparations. Many are also supportive of the two, as they both promote a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Now’s patient has yet to share his current weight. But it’s clear that he won the battle against obesity. The former reality TV personality is currently working as a hairstylist. He also likes to record himself trying out different outfits, which is something he hasn’t done for years.
