‘DWTS’ Disney 100 Night: Who Had The High Score?
Dancing With The Stars fans look forward to Disney Night each and every year. And this season’s Disney-themed episode definitely did not disappoint.
This year, DWTS celebrated 100 years of Disney by dubbing the episode “Disney 100 Night.” The remaining 11 couples performed fun and unique routines to classic Disney songs.
But at the end of the episode, who took over the top spot on the leaderboard?
DWTS Season 32 competitors dramatically improve their scores
Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater may not have topped the leaderboard, but they definitely put a lot of time and hard work into their routine. The pair was sorely disappointed in the judges’ scores last week but managed to earn a 19/30 for their Paso doble to “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” from Fantasia.
If the judges gave a “Most Improved Award,” many fans feel that Mauricio Umansky would win that in a heartbeat.
But who took home the highest scores of the night?
Although Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach did perform well as usual, the judges admitted that they seemed a bit more uncomfortable with this week’s dance. They scored a 24/30 for their Foxtrot to “A Whole New World” from Aladdin. They ultimately tied with Bachelor Nation’s Charity Lawson and her partner Artem Chigvintsev for third place.
This week, a brand new couple worked to the top of the leaderboard.
This week, Marvel actress Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy performed the Paso doble to “Un Poco Loco” from Coco. In the pre-recorded package, Xochitl described how excited she was to perform to the song. And it seems that their hard work sincerely paid off. They scored 9s across the board for a total of 27/30.
Reality star Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov were hot on their heels with a 25/30 for their Contemporary routine to “Into the Unknown” from Frozen II.
Who left the competition at the end of the night?
Dancing With The Stars fans agree that this season is incredibly competitive. While multiple couples are vying for the top of the leaderboard, one couple sadly did have to leave the competition.
When the night came to a close, NFL player Adrian Peterson and Britt Stewart ultimately received the lowest combined fan votes and judges’ scores. It was a difficult elimination, especially after the judges had nothing but wonderful things to say about their Viennese waltz. The pair definitely had a good run, but it was time to say goodbye.
