‘RHONY’ Sai De Silva Shocking Eviction From NYC Apartment
In the latest tea, Sai De Silva was kicked out of her New York apartment for failing to pay $12,000 in overdue rent. The Real Housewives of New York star may display a flashy lifestyle on the show, but like many others, she had financial problems in the past. Read on to discover more details.
Sai De Silva’s Origin Of Her Problems
According to The Sun, Sai De Silva’s financial problems had been looming. Her rent issues began in 2009 when she received notification of her overdue payments and that legal actions would soon follow. In her defense, De Silva said she fell behind due to certain subletting agreements and was working hard to pay her balance. The RHONY star also added that she hoped to renew the property’s lease after clearing the remaining amount she owed in February 2010.
Shocking reports reveal that her unpaid dues had increased to a staggering $12,185.60. The property’s attorney also added that De Silva owed them $1,000 in legal and marshal expenses and $2008.17 for February’s rent.
Sai De Silva’s Fall
After failing to pay up her end of the bargain, De Silva finally accepted her fate and asked to remove her possessions from the studio on February 17, 2010. The court allowed her to vacate the premises, having shown effort to pay $5500 from her outstanding debt.
Beaten and defeated, the reality star retreated into silence, where she worked on herself and soon began to rise after the fall. She starred in RHONY, among other ventures.
Sai De Silva’s Rise To Stardom
Since her eviction, De Silva has worked her way up to now owning a beautiful condo in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Bravo TV recently uploaded a video of the reality star showcasing the beautiful property adorned with a white and gold theme.
She took viewers on a quick tour of her open-plan kitchen with white marble countertops. The kitchen boasts of housing high-end appliances and a great layout with an island and four bar stools. De Silva’s living area included large, luxurious sofas with white accent cushions. She hung family photos in the room and paired them with large mirrors. The reality star has indeed risen from the ashes and secured herself the home of her dreams.
