Dr. Now said that Jeanne was in an extremely critical state when they first met. The surgeon said that the gastric bypass surgery wouldn’t help fix her eating disorder. She was asked to make urgent adjustments to her lifestyle. The My 600-lb Life alum struggled to lose weight after receiving her plans. Her mother also got sick, and her dad passed away, which affected her mental health. Fortunately, she overcame the emotional stress by seeking help from a mental health professional. Covey only lost 23 pounds after opting out of the show.
However, she came back to the producers with some controversial claims. She filed a lawsuit against the show for allegedly neglecting them during the filming. Dr. Now’s former patient also claims that the production team used the cast members’ mental health issues to create different narratives. Not much is known about what happened after the lawsuit.
Jeanne Continues To Pursue Weight Loss Goals

She likes to show off the progress she has made without Dr. Now’s guidance. It also appears that she didn’t resort to bariatric surgery. She presently lives in Roe, Arkansas. Her FB bio states that she was a former Teacher’s Aide at a preschool.

Jeanne has expressed her love for dogs on social media. Sadly, she recently suffered a heartbreaking loss after one of her dogs passed away. In September, the My 600-lb Life alum thanked everyone who sent her positive messages following the passing of her companion. The former reality TV personality remains discreet about her current job.
She likes to support fundraisers that are related to helping different kinds of animals. Jeanne Covey is also a big fan of entertainment wrestling, which may have played a significant role in her determination to shed weight. She’s been living happily with a boyfriend as well.
