Gabby Windey’s Unexpected Romance After Bachelorette
After appearing on Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor, rejected contestants Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia were named the franchise’s first-ever co-leads for Season 19 of The Bachelorette.
Rachel Recchia’s engagement to Tino Franco was over practically before it began. They announced the split on the After The Final Rose special.
Gabby Windey and Erich Schwer were engaged a little longer but broke up two months after filming. She went on to dance through the heartbreak on Season 31 of Dancing With The Stars.
After DWTS ended in Nov. 2022, Windey mainly stayed out of the spotlight. That’s partly why fans were shocked in August 2023 when she appeared on ABC’s The View and announced she was bisexual and in a relationship with a woman.
The former Bachelorette recently revealed just how serious she is with stand-up comedian Robby Hoffman.
How Does The Golden Bachelor Make Her Feel?
Gabby Windey recently spoke to Life & Style about all things Bachelor Nation and her upcoming holiday clothing line with Cupshe. “It’s such a fun collection and I hope everyone just really sees the joy that was put into it,” she said about her foray into the fashion world.
While fans shouldn’t expect to see Windey competing on the ABC dating show franchise any time soon, she’s still an avid viewer. She shared her thoughts about The Golden Bachelor with the outlet.
Windey could barely hold back her excitement when she gushed about the franchise, calling it “inspiring.” In fact, it made her look forward to aging. “Now I literally can’t wait til 70,” she said about her golden years.
While she calls the women vying for Gerry Turner’s heart “incredible,” she can’t help but worry for the 72-year-old retiree. “I think he is quite shy, so I feel like these women might just run all over him.”
She doesn’t know how the season plays out but thinks Faith Martin is “in the running” to win Turner’s final rose.

Gabby Windey isn’t shy about expressing her opinions about other Bachelor Nation alums. She recently slammed Clayton Echard over the paternity lawsuit filed against him.
So, she didn’t hold back in her video chat with Life & Style. Windey shared her thoughts on Rachel Recchia’s journey on Season 9 of Bachelor In Paradise.

Viewers were initially concerned Bachelorette would pit Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia against one another and ruin the friendship they made on The Bachelor.
However, the two fully supported one another during filming and continue to do so. Windey said that she’s “so proud” of her former co-star. She also said that Recchia might have an advantage over the other contestants, noting the pilot is “familiar with the process.”
In addition to Rachel Recchia, Gabby Windey looks forward to watching Katie Thurston’s ex-fiance, Blake Moynes, on BIP.
The Golden Bachelor airs Thursdays at 8 PM Eastern on ABC, followed by Bachelor In Paradise.
