Kourtney Kardashian Reveals Her Struggles
The Kardashian sister has been vocal and candid about her fertility struggles. Together with her husband, Travis Barker, 47, they tried several IVF treatments in an attempt to conceive.
According to Page Six, the couple stopped IVF treatments and even forgot about it. It came as a surprise when Kourtney conceived naturally without the help of the IVF treatments. Their baby boy is indeed “God’s plan,” as Kourtney termed it.
Kourtney Kardashian On Trusting The Process
Previously, the media personality had shared her struggles with IVF treatments with her fans. She talked about how grueling the process was to her body and how the treatments plunged her into early menopause. The process did not spare her mental health. At some point, the couple had enough of the treatment and its effects and called it quits.
Some fans have since doubted the entire “natural” facade that Kourtney has been displaying. The Kardashian sister said that the natural process didn’t affect her body, and she’s grateful for having a smooth, natural pregnancy.
Kourtney Kardashian Regrets Her Past Decisions
The Kardashian star began her IVF treatments long before her wedding to Travis Parker. She says she was duped into thinking IVF would be the only viable option due to her age. However, she remained adamant and believed the process didn’t suit her. Kourtney added that normally, she doesn’t take medication, and she felt like her body naturally rejected the IVF treatment.
Kourtney questioned her decision to pursue IVF despite having three children with ex-husband Scott Disick, 40. Once she trusted the process and forgot about the grueling IVF treatments, she conceived her miracle baby. This will be her fourth baby, along with her other children Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 8.
Kourtney Kardashian Says It Wasn’t Easy Either
Although the 44-year-old mother feels great, she can’t deny that the pregnancy has had a few challenges. Perhaps due to her age, she had a few restrictions during the first months of the pregnancy. Kourtney confirmed that her doctor barred her from taking caffeine, sex, exercise, and long plane trips. Despite the challenges, she has managed to carry the pregnancy and is now counting a few weeks to meet her baby boy.
