Over the summer of 2022, Jackson, 21, and Emerson, 20, went public with their courtship. It’s unclear when they actually started dating, but they shared the news publicly just over a year ago. Then, in March 2023, he popped the question. Now, they’re officially husband and wife!

Leading up to Saturday, October 14, Jackson Bates’ family members documented their travels to Florida for the wedding. Carlin Bates, Evan Stewart, Katie Bates, and Travis Clark took their kids to Disney World a couple of days before the big day. Josie Bates and Kelton Balka flew in with their two little girls, Willow and Hazel. It looks like most of the family was able to make the trip to Florida. Erin Bates and Chad Paine already live in Florida, as do John Webster and Alyssa Bates, so their travels weren’t as far.
The Bringing Up Bates Star Is Officially Married
On Saturday evening, People exclusively confirmed that the couple is married! The Bringing Up Bates star married Emerson Wells at the Bramble Tree Estates in Sorrento, Florida.
The happy couple shared with the news outlet how they are feeling now that they are officially husband and wife.
Jackson Bates said, “I would have never thought I could meet someone that is as perfect as Emerson. I fell in love first, and I haven’t stopped thinking that she’s the best thing in my life since I first asked her to marry me.”
He admitted that he’s gotten very emotional over just how lucky he feels to be married to Emerson.
The former Bringing Up Bates star continued, noting that he and his new wife “both feel very grateful for the family and friends who have gathered today to support and encourage us. We wouldn’t be where we are without some of the wonderful counsel, examples, and prayers that have been offered on our behalf.”
Emerson Wells described her wedding day as “the best day of my life” and feels that she’s “living out my dream.”

Of course, fans are absolutely thrilled for Jackson Bates and Emerson Wells as they embark on this exciting new chapter together! Kelly Jo Bates shared the special news on Instagram on Saturday evening. The proud mama added that she “couldn’t feel more blessed.”
