Wishful Thinking? Ryan Seacrest Teases Retirement Plans
Ryan Seacrest, 48, a long-time host of the American Idol and Live with Kelly and Ryan, among other shows, recently landed a new huge gig. He replaced Wheel of Fortune’s legendary host, Pat Sajak. Shortly after taking the new role, Ryan shocked his fans by hinting that he’d be making a few changes in his life in the near future. What is the new Wheel of Fortune co-host up to?
Ryan Seacrest Opens Up On His Desires
Seacrest appeared on Kelly Ripa’s podcast, Let’s Talk Off Camera, where he opened up about his plans. The two co-hosted Live with Kelly and Ryan and are no strangers to the camera. However, Ripa, 53, asked Seacrest about his retirement plans. The Hope & Faith alum disclosed that she has wanted to retire from Daytime TV and perhaps explore other projects.
Seacrest shared the same sentiments as Kelly Rupa. Ryan Seacrest revealed in a podcast that he’d love to control his timelines; that way, he would have more time and flexibility to do other things. That kind of life would certainly make him happier.
Ryan Seacrest Isn’t Slowing Down Any Time Soon
Media personality Seacrest is certain that TV is his life. He doesn’t doubt his love for TV. Nonetheless, Seacrest thinks that the schedules are too tight and fixed. The new Wheel of Fortune co-host revealed he would be open to trying out new opportunities that would make him freer.
In April 2023, Seacrest announced he’d leave the live show co-hosted with Ripa. He cited the need to reduce his workload. Ironically, he took over Pat Sajak’s role as the new co-host alongside Vanna White after the former announced his retirement. It looks like Seacrest isn’t slowing down any time soon.
Does Ryan Seacrest Ever Get Tired?
The American Idol host is known for being a hard worker. Besides hosting American Idol, he also uses his witty voice on other popular shows such as E! Live From The Red Carpet, On Air With Ryan Seacrest, American Top 40, and now new on the list, Wheel of Fortune.
His fans may be a little concerned about his ever-ramped-up schedule. Does he ever rest? Fans spotted Ryan’s eyes twitching during one American Idol finale and got concerned over his health. He also reportedly had slurred speech and appeared unfocused when hosting yet another show finale.
