‘Below Deck’ Malia White Devastated Over Brother’s Death

Malia White is best known for the Bravo series Below Deck Med, having started in Season 2. Fans have seen her highs and lows on the show and she is not going anywhere anytime soon. White is branching out, as Bravolebs do, and will appear on the new season of Winter House. So, there may be a new side of her for viewers to get to know and appreciate. For the time being, however, she is showing a vulnerable and raw version of herself as she shared the heartbreaking news that her brother, Jay passed away.

According to People, Malia took to Instagram to break this to her fans and followers. Sadly, he had struggled with addiction but he lost that battle on Thursday, October 5th. “To everyone who knew our brother Jay, it’s with a heavy heart we announce the sad news of his death. Thursday, October 5th Jayseph (34) passed away in the middle of the night after a battle with addiction,” Malia wrote. She shared that he loved to fish and be outside, especially with his dog. More so, he was always there for anyone who needed him, no matter when or what time.

She added this: “We will share information about a celebration of life at a later date.” In her slides, Malia White had one of them as children as well as Jay fishing. Captain Sandy Yawn wrote this: “I’m so sorry Malia. So sorry.” Amanda Batula added: “Sending you so much love and big hugs. So sorry for your loss 🤍.” It seems so many had amazing memories of Jay and wanted to share that with Malia.

The Show Must Go On

In the midst of Malia White’s sadness, she also must gear up for the premiere of Winter House. This is coming faster than anyone can imagine. It will premiere Tuesday, October 24th, and feature Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz. More so, it looks like it will be a lot of fun for everyone involved. Surely, this will be a welcomed distraction for Malia. Hopefully, she will find peace in the midst of sadness.
