My 600-lb Life Season 7 featured the inspiring story of Octavia Nichelle. She appeared on the show at 692 pounds. The Missouri native resorted to food as her way of dealing with stress. She was allegedly molested by her stepfather when she was young. Her unhealthy diet affected her daily life negatively. Due to this, she sought Dr. Now’s help to turn her life around. Since then, the former TLC star has thrived in life and is now one of the most successful patients in the franchise.
My 600-lb Life: Octavia Nichelle’s Weight Loss Journey
Octavia was struggling with her mobility when she met Dr. Now. However, the My 600-lb Life alum didn’t let her condition stop her from shedding pounds. She took the surgeon’s instructions with all her heart, which helped her shed weight quickly. Many were also impressed that she didn’t resort to bariatric surgery. Instead, she took the traditional route by exercising and maintaining a healthy diet.
She lost 236 pounds in the process, dropping her weight to 456 lbs. The former reality TV personality has also kept in touch with the fans online. In July, she shared a stunning photo of herself, showing that she has kept a good weight throughout the years.
Octavia Is Now Running A Business
Aside from losing pounds, Octavia has been busy running a business after the show. The My 600-lb Life alum presently owns a customized jewelry shop called Chains and Crayons. She also uses social media as a platform to spread positivity and motivational messages about achieving life goals. Dr. Now’s patient has been able to travel alone due to her successful weight loss.
Additionally, Octavia Nichelle is now able to give more effort to her family. In October 2022, she gave a sweet message to her sister, who graduated from college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Health Care.

Dr. Now has had some ups and downs with his patients throughout the years. There are a few who thought that his standards were too high. While there are others who are thankful for what he’s done. Octavia Nichelle also said in her post that her physical goal is still a work in progress. She has yet to share her current weight. But the dedication she showed even after the show has already inspired many.
