Hannah Godwin & Dylan Barbour’s Love Story
Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour unsuccessfully looked for love on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, respectively. Godwin was on Colton Underwood‘s season, and Barbour pursued Hannah Brown on Season 15.
They eventually found each other on the beach in Mexico on Season 6 of Bachelor In Paradise, but it wasn’t an easy road to love. Godwin was initially torn between Dylan Barbour and Blake Horstmann.
She ultimately chose Barbour, and he proposed during the Season 6 finale.
However, they were forced into a long engagement due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and beyond.
They finally wed on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, four years after they met and fell in love on BIP.

Why Hannah Godwin & Dylan Barbour’s Wedding Almost Didn’t Happen
The Bachelor In Paradise couple recently celebrated one month as a married couple. However, it turns out their wedding almost didn’t happen.
Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour hosted a Q&A about their wedding on her YouTube channel. While everything worked out eventually, the duo shared insight into what went wrong on their big day.
Before their wedding day, they held a welcome party on August 21 for all of their guests. But on that same day, the wedding venue informed the couple that their wedding was at risk of being canceled due to payment issues.
“Wiring is so different and there are bank holidays and things are just weird and don’t get approved, so we ran into almost not having the château,” Godwin shared about the issue, as reported by the Bachelor Nation blog.
However, Dylan Barbour was unbothered. He said in the YouTube video that he assured his then-fiance that everything would be “fine,” because he knew the money would transfer in time.
But that wasn’t the only mishap on their wedding day. What happened during the actual ceremony?
Miscommunication With The DJ
With the money issue resolved, the wedding was expected to go on without a hitch. But one issue came up during the reception. The couple spent a “long time” working on a playlist that would elevate the experience for their guests. They planned to play classical music during dinner and bangers later in the night.
However, the DJ only spoke French and, due to miscommunication, started playing Flo Rida and Chris Brown during dinner.
Luckily, Hannah Godwin’s maid of honor was able to intervene. It turns out the DJ was randomly playing songs from the playlist.
What’s a wedding without a few hiccups, right? Check out this hilarious prank Hannah Godwin played on her husband during their honeymoon.
