Who replaced GMA (Good Morning America) fan favorite, Robin Roberts when she was absent recently? The host had taken time off over the summer but then she returned and fans were thrilled. Then, she vanished with no explanation. So, who took her spot when she was off? Read on for more details.

GMA Who Replaced Fan Favorite Robin Roberts?

Robin Roberts had a very busy summer. She was planning her dream wedding to longtime partner, Amber Laign so they had to get all of the details perfect. This included dress shopping and their marriage license. Roberts also was known to take Fridays off from GMA but it was unclear if she would stop that once she and Amber tied the knot. They finally sealed the deal on September 8th, 2023, and then had a beautiful honeymoon. Co-workers and friends could not stop gushing about the amazing day and how amazing the ladies looked.


Robin Roberts finally returned but her time back was short-lived. According to The Sun, Robin was there Monday, September 18th, which was a great thing to wake up to. Then, she was gone on Friday, September 22nd but no one knew why. It seems that viewers just want either a heads-up or a reason for the hosts’ absence. Fortunately, another fan favorite was able to fill her shoes. Rebecca Jarvis took over for Roberts when she was out for the day.

Though GMA fans do like Rebecca, they were thrilled to see Robin again and sent her many kind words. “Good morning! Welcome back! It’s going to be an amazing week!!” one wrote. Another added: “Welcome back!!! You are such a blessing to sooo many people Robin, spreading positivity & love.” There was a lot of “Mrs.” to commemorate her new life which had to make her feel like the luckiest anchor ever.

Another One Gone

It has not been an easy time for GMA fans. There was a time when all three hosts, Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan, and George Stephanopoulos were out at the same time. Then, meteorologist, Sam Champion revealed that he was exiting as he had a new gig at Eyewitness News. Now, Robin is MIA and it is unclear if she will be back on Monday, September 25th. Hopefully, she will not be absent too long.
